Confederation of British Industry survey suggests retail sales will have grown 0.9% in the second quarter of the year, say analysts

British retailers reported slower sales growth in June but sales remained above average for the time of year, according to an industry survey.

City analysts said the figures point to healthy retail sales growth of about 0.9% in the second quarter of the year, giving a boost to the economy.
