Odessa attorney named to head Texas Transportation Commission


AUSTIN - Odessa attorney Tryon Dexter Lewis, a former judge and three-term state representative, on Wednesday was named chairman of the Texas Transportation Commission that oversees the state's multibillion-dollar highway and transit agency. During his time in the House, Lewis served as the chairman of the Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee and was the co-chair of the Joint House Senate Committee on Judicial Selection in 2014.
