Netflix today gives us a look at another one of its upcoming original films, Apostle. From Gareth Evans, writer and director of The Raid franchise, the horror picture tells the story of Thomas Richardson, a prodigal son who returns home to find out that his sister has been abducted by a religious group living in solitude.

Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Legion) stars as Thomas Richardson, alongside Michael Sheen who portrays Prophet Malcolm, the leader of the cult. In order to rescue his sister, Richardson must ultimately join the religious sect and immerse himself into their teachings.
Set in 1905, Apostle comes to Netflix October 12.
