After passing on college to play in LaVar Ball's Junior Basketball Association, Brandon Phillips wishes he had done things differently.
Phillips, who recently accused the JBA of only paying him a fraction of what he was promised, joined the Los Angeles Ballers out of high school, giving up his NCAA eligibility. He was cut from the team midway through the season to make room for LaVar's son LiAngelo.
"I can't really speak on the matter because it is being handled legally. But if I could go back in time I would've taken the college route for sure," Phillips told Amico Hoops' Ben Stinar.
In a YouTube video posted earlier this month, Phillips said he doesn't blame LaVar for his bad experience with the JBA.
"I don't think LaVar Ball's responsible for this in any way," Phillips said. "I feel like if he would've known my situation and the fact that I didn't get paid the amount that I was owed, then he would've taken care of it ASAP."
