Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden failed to provide a significant update on Khalil Mack's holdout Monday but did express his frustration over how negotiations have gone.

"I don't want to put a timetable on it," Gruden said, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic. "It's been a grueling process for both parties and the fans."

The Raiders have reportedly not ruled out trading the All-Pro pass-rusher. More than a dozen teams, including the New York Jets, have apparently inquired about Mack's availability.

The 2016 Defensive Player of the Year is believed to be seeking a deal that would make him the league's highest-paid defender. Fellow holdout Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams is likely also aiming for the same distinction, potentially complicating both negotiations.

Mack has reportedly yet to receive an offer from Oakland since the start of the offseason, and if his holdout carries over into the regular season, he faces a weekly fine of $814,000.
