Lyst’s Quarterly “Hottest Brand Index” Proves That Fendi Is Truly Back
Global fashion search platform Lyst has published its list of the world’s hottest fashion brands in quarter two of 2018.
Lyst arrived at the results by analyzing shopping behavior and engagement statistics over a three month period. Gucci has reclaimed its number one ranking from Balenciaga this quarter, with Demna Gvaslia’s label slipping two places to third position.
Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE has increased its appeal, jumping four places to second, although Louis Vuitton, where Virgil serves as men’s artistic director, surprisingly failed to make the cut.
A notable inclusion in the top 10 is Fendi. The brand recently tapped into the logomania craze with its collections and also enlisted influencers such as Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner to flex its wares on Instagram. These bold moves appeared to have paid off, as it has climbed up from 17th to 8th place.
Nike is the only sportswear brand to make the top 10, edging in at nine.
