After previewing its latest menswear campaign mere days ago, Loewe, helmed by designer Jonathan Anderson, presented a playful collection for Spring/Summer 2019.
Among flashes of refinement and elegance, the collection is a wildly colorful selection of hippy-like prints and Anderson’s now signature stripe pattern work. Perfect for the stay-at-home eccentric, models are shown styled in and amongst the settings of an empty mansion, bar an expected easel and a few choice chairs. Graphic embellishments extended through oversized cardigans, wide-cut pants, and casual shirting, with Disney’s beloved Dumbo seen printed over the chest of a checked two-piece in slide 8.
The fur baubles seen across a number of footwear options is also an interesting touch, with a pair of white, Paraboot-esque kicks adding a much-needed touch of simplicity to this otherwise saturated collection. LOEWE’s affinity for luggage is also highlighted throughout, with the printed leather backpack of slide 11, and the flowery tote of slide 12 promising to be a hit once released.
On the topic of footwear, Raf Simons just unveiled some seriously good, silver-soled adidas Ozweegos & platform leather boots. Check them out here.
