Summer is slowly asserting its dominance over winter, evidenced by the emergence of short shorts, cropped tees, and ’fit god Jonah Hill’s obsession with tie-dye T-shirts. The actor is well known for his style and is considered in certain circles to be something of a streetwear style god. Whether he’s rocking the latest Gosha Rubchinskiy x adidas Originals collaboration, dressed head to toe in Palace, or, as the latest Jonah Hill ’fit watch pics show, is investing heavily in tie-dye, his style is unquestionably on point.
Tie-dye is a bold but logical choice for the summer months, with richly saturated colors, glaring contrasts, and elaborate patterns drawing in the eye and standing out in stark contrast to the, sometimes, monochromatic nature of winter style.
While a number of brands offer tie-dye pieces, Online Ceramics, a brand that started as a joke between friends, is one of streetwear’s favorite psychedelic brands, selling otherworldly T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring elaborate, chaotic designs. The brand officially printed shirts for the Dead & Co. — the band formed by Jonah’s fellow style god John Mayer and original Grateful Dead member Bob Weir — tour last year.
Thus far, we haven’t seen Hill in one of Online Ceramic’s tees but it’s probably only a matter of time. Instead, he’s opted for vintage Grateful Dead tees, as well as a Lithuanian basketball effort from Skullman.
