Brand of the Week: 7 Key Embroidered Pieces From Israeli label ADISH
Our brand of the week, ADISH, is fusing traditional Middle Eastern embroidery techniques with high-fashion streetwear. Led by Amit Luzon and Eyal Eliyahu, the two hope that their brand, which means “apathetic” in Hebrew, will stimulate a new discussion for Israeli youth culture as well as engender new perspectives on the Israeli-Palestine conflict.
We’ve picked out seven key pieces from ADISH that would make for wearable, long-term investments for your wardrobe. For a warm outer layer, we’ve chosen the hoodie from ADISH’s collaboration with New York-based artist Jordan Nasser which features subtle, but effective, hand-made embroidery on the front and on the sleeve. For tees there’s a black short-sleeve option, with an ADISH logo on the front and elegant flower detail on the back. Lastly, for accessories, there’s a multi-coloured bucket hat (ideal for festival season) and a red/silver pin featuring ADISH’s embroidery pattern cast in metal.
