You Can Now Buy the Mizuno x Highsnobiety Wave Rider Phoenix Right Here
Visit the original post to see all 7 images from this gallery.
Using Mizuno’s classic Wave Rider 1 silhouette, the Wave Rider Phoenix features military nylon mesh, nubuck, suede, and full grain leather atop a white EVA midsole. Mizuno’s Runbird logo, the pull tab, mesh, and Wave plate appear in red while other elements feature in shades of gray and a soft, pastel blue which is used on the underside of the tongue, outsole, and Runbird logo on the toe box. Alluding to the shoe’s history as a runner, the upper features a reflective lace keeper and piping. Highsnobiety branding appears on the tongue, insole, heel counter, and pull tab.
Originally released in 1998, the Wave Rider 1 celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and has thus been reborn in its original form as the Wave Rider 1 OG, Wave Rider 1 No Borders, and now in collaboration with Highsnobiety as the Wave Rider Phoenix.
As part of the launch, we recently shared a sneaker lookbook and video as well as hosting an exclusive event for Gallery Weekend Berlin. Following the build-up, the sneaker is, at last, available from our online store and in-store from mita sneakers and Beams. Check the Wave Rider Phoenix out in the galleries above and then visit the store link below to shop for €160/$200.
