The Boston Bruins lost a thrilling 5-4 overtime clash to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night at TD Garden.
While the B’s took the loss, they still were able to earn a point thanks to a strong performance from netminder Tuukka Rask. The veteran goalie finished with 20 saves on the night, none more impressive than a third-period stop on Matt Calvert.
After Ryan Donato and Matt Grzelcyk collided, Jackets winger Alexander Wennberg slid a cross-ice pass to Calvert. The winger scorched a slap shot that appeared ticketed for the back of the net, but Rask was able to slide over and make the save with his shoulder, keeping the game tied at four.
