Rucoline, the Italian footwear label headed by Marci Santucci, reveals a new capsule collection of two shoe designs that are the essence of clean, contemporary, architectural footwear.
For the Essential ‘M collection, Santucci tapped esteemed French designer Jean-Marie Massaud. That Massaud also moonlights as an architect is evident in the drop, with the collection’s two designs—the Essentiel M-01/Easy Chic shoe and the Essentiel M-02/ Cool Move sneaker—both defined by their bold sweeping silhouettes, and unfussy, clean material finishes.
Our favorite, the Essentiel M-02/ Cool Move sneaker, is crafted with a clean monotoned technical fabric sitting atop Rucoline’s Sport sole unit. With a minimal adjustable drawstring/shoe lace providing fit and security, comfort comes through the sneaker’s snug inner sock of lycra/elasticated jersey fabric.
Meanwhile, the Essentiel M-01/Easy Chic shoe is a bolder, chunky addition to the spring/summer offering. Resting on the label’s trademark moulded Bloc sole, Santucci and Massaud’s Easy Chic’s upper comes in a variety of colorways and materials: fine full-grain leather or suede for men.
