Ryan Strome scored the lone first period goal between the Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins on Tuesday, but the Bruins otherwise had played a solid period.

Although the B’s finished the period scoreless, they had a displayed plenty of quality offense, creating scoring opportunities and playing fundamentally sound hockey.
