A Brazilian court has upheld the corruption conviction of Brazil’s former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for corruption and money laundering, in a ruling which will complicate his plans to run for a third term and marks an extraordinary change of fortune for the most popular leader in modern Brazilian history.
