Season: Winter 2017
Key Pieces: Ski jackets with matching bottoms
Editor’s Notes: Portland-based outerwear label Columbia is a proud sponsor of the United States and Canadian freestyle ski teams, and they have designed the exclusive uniforms that both countries’ athletes will wear while competing in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang next month.
Each kit is essentially detailed with the country’s signature colors and flags, while also incorporating Columbia’s latest technologies and technical features such as OutDry Extreme, offering maximum waterproof protection and exceptional mobility; heat reflective properties; a snow camouflage pattern to help mask body movement, a key judging component; and precise technical trims, where ultra-lightweight and low-profile Light Rail zippers are bonded directly onto laser-cut fabric.
