Report: Josh Rosen won't play in Cactus Bowl under doctor's orders
UCLA looks as though it will be without Josh Rosen for the Cactus Bowl, as sources told Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated that the star quarterback will not play in the contest against Kansas State under doctor's orders.
Rosen suffered his second concussion of the season in UCLA's finale against Cal, and has been examined by doctors since. He practiced in limited capacity this week in hopes of being cleared to play.
The star pivot is widely projected to be the top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but hasn't yet announced whether he'll return to UCLA or leave for the professional ranks.
Rosen announced earlier Saturday that he will talk to his parents after the Cactus Bowl before deciding his future plans. Meanwhile, a stat correction by the NCAA from an earlier contest this season gave Rosen enough passing yards to become UCLA's all-time leader in the category.
