A number of Hollywood’s top actresses will be protesting the rampant sexual misconduct within the industry and beyond by wearing black to this year’s Golden Globe Awards. According to People, both presenters and nominees are expected to take part, as the trend could seemingly continue at various other events and awards shows going forward.

A source disclosed further that not only will some actresses be donning black gowns, but they will also be wearing pins and/or ribbons to make a statement and present a reminder of Hollywood’s terrifying history of sexual harassment and assault.

In addition to the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild announced earlier this week that all presenters at January’s SAG Awards would be women, while Kristen Bell will be the event’s first-ever female host.

In related news, Selma Hayek recently penned an op-ed detailing her harrowing encounter with Harvey Weinstein.
