Report: Oregon's Taggart to meet with Florida State regarding HC vacancy
College football's coaching carousel could be getting ready to fire up yet again.
After much speculation as to whether he will stay or go, Oregon head coach Willie Taggart will reportedly meet with Florida State officials on Monday to discuss the Seminoles head coaching vacancy, according to Edward Aschoff of ESPN, citing a source close to the situation.
Taggart previously stated he would sign a new deal with Oregon "when things look like they are supposed to," so a visit with Florida State officials could simply be Taggart weighing his options. Nevertheless,
Taggart is no stranger to the sunshine state, having served has the head coach at South Florida from 2013-16 before spending this past season at Oregon.
