Not a football fan but want to cop a supporter scarf? Well, now you don’t even have to pretend to like sports as artist Maurizio Cattelan is here to help you express your alliance to your favorite museum.
Produced in collaboration with Italian design label Seletti, the collection, called “Museum League”, features supporter scarfs for MoMa, Moca, Brooklyn Museum, Guggenheim, The New Museum and High Line, among others. A “museum chant” features on the flip side of the scarf, with Marian Goodman Gallery getting the tagline “artists first” and the Highline getting a tongue-in-cheek “High Since 1934” chant.
The release is the first of Seletti and Cattelan’s ongoing collaboration which aims to make art more accessible. Speaking to Wallpaper, Cattelan explained, “Stefano Seletti and I agree on a motto – ‘Everyone can be a collector’, which is a nod to Joseph Beuys’ quote, ‘Everyone is an artist.'” Head to each museum’s website or gift shop to pick up a scarf for yourself.
