In a New York Times profile on Migos’ record label Quality Control, the release date for the Atlanta trio’s highly anticipated Culture 2 is revealed to be January 2018. Previously, Migos said the follow-up to their smash hit Culture album would drop in 2017.
Back in June, posters reading “Culture II Coming Soon” surfaced in their home town, and Quavo chanted the same phrase onstage at a concert that same month. Then in October, the “Bad & Boujee” rappers teased the album yet again, finally giving us Culture 2’s first single “Motor Sport” featuring Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
In addition to more details on Culture 2, the New York Times profile also says Quality Control labelmate Lil Yachty’s Lil Boat 2 mixtape will drop in December, as well as a compilation album on December 8 called Quality Control Presents: Control the Streets, Volume 1, “featuring the label’s roster and guests like Nicki Minaj, Kodak Black and Cardi B.”
