With Cyber Monday approaching, KFC has released the Colonel Sanders Escape Pod, also known as a Faraday Cage; a dome-shaped pod designed to block external feeds coming in to effectively keep you and your devices offline.
Not widely known for their work in global communications, the pod is actually constructed of steel and stainless steel mesh, a high-density foam and enamel paint. Access is gained through a small door with a chicken drumstick handle, not forgetting the highlight of this escape pod – a foam Colonel laying on top.

All in all, the dome weighs eight pounds and can fit up to four people inside. At the moment, only one model exists and ironically is available online. If you really need to quit the online life for a while, then this pod could be yours for a sweet $10,000. Let us know if it’s worth it or if you’d like to be locked in the loving embrace of the Colonel.
This isn’t the first wacky item the chicken chain has released this year, recently the company brought out the Fried Chicken Bath Bomb.
