Fantasy walk or drive

The 19th annual Fantasy of Lights extravaganza at Vasona Park, 333 Blossom Hill Road, opens Dec. 2-3, 4-9 p.m., for walk-through nights. The animated light show includes more than 50 holiday displays—from Santa shooting hoops to blazing pirate canons, a dinosaur den and a 19-foot twinkling tree.

Adult walk-through tickets are $10, $5 for children 4-12 years old and free for 3 and under. Walk-through visitors can park at Netflix, 121 Albright Way, and catch a free shuttle to Vasona.

The Fantasy of Lights drive-through experience runsDec. 5-30, 6-9:30 p.m. Tickets for the drive-through are $20 per vehicle, $50 for vehicles seating 13 or more people.

Advance tickets are required for both the walk- and drive-throughs.

Welcome aboard

The Los Gatos Town Council has appointed Maureen Cappon-Javey, Michael Miller, Kristen Kovac and Ellis Weeker to the Arts and Culture Commission. Sheldon Gilbert, Maryann Gustafson-Sawyer, Bill Ehlers and Cory Fuller were named to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

Robert Philbrook was appointed to the Building Board of Appeals, and Lee Quintana joins the General Plan Committee.

Jennifer Alexander will serve on the Community and Senior Service Commission, Susan Buxton joins the Library Board and James Godsey was appointed to the Parks Commission.

Larry Magid and Jennifer Lewis were named to the Personnel Board, and Mary Badame and Kendra Birch were appointed to the Planning Commission.
