Dave Grohl Dressed Up as David Letterman to Host ‘Kimmel’ on Halloween
As Kimmel was absent this week, Dave Grohl was chosen to fill in for the talk show host on the celebratory Halloween episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Appropriately, the famed musician appeared in costume, doing his best take on David Letterman.
Grohl kicked things off with a 10-minute monologue, before making his way into the audience for the show’s traditional Halloween game in which two costumes get mashed up to make an all-new weird character. For example, there was the Handmaid’s Snail, Marge Gimp-son and a Vanna White Walker.
In addition, Dave had the opportunity to sit down with legendary rocker Alice Cooper, who showed up as himself with blood smeared all over. During their conversation, the two musicians dished on haunted houses and the time Cooper met the real Colonel Sanders.
Following, Grohl and Foo Fighters shared the stage with Cooper to perform “The Ballad of Dwight Fry” and “Killer.”
Oh, and as an added treat, Dave and Kristen Bell partnered up to perform a mash up of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” and Frozen ballad “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”
