Northern California is still under threat from almost two dozen fast-moving wildfires that have killed more than 20 people, destroyed more than 3,500 buildings and burned close to 170,000 acres. Firefighters fear that strong winds may merge the scattered fires.
Corinna Fernandez is one of 20,000 people who have had to evacuate their homes. On Tuesday, she visited her parent’s home in Coffey Park, a neighborhood of Santa Rosa that was devastated by wildfires, to find that her family’s belongings had burned to ashes.
