Georgia head coach Kirby Smart isn't tipping his hand on which quarterback will start Saturday, but Derek Mason isn't buying the mystery.

The Vanderbilt head coach sounds like he'll be preparing for Jake Fromm to start behind center.

"Listen, we can quit with the coaching dramatics," Mason said, according to Seth Emerson of Dawg Nation. "Right now, I believe Fromm is the guy. I believe (Jacob) Eason is an extremely talented quarterback. But that’s up to Kirby who he decides to go with. I mean he’s not fooling me, if that’s what we think we’re doing here. That young man, Fromm’s won ballgames. He just came off a (41-0) win."

Smart refused to announce a starter earlier in the week and declared it would be sorted out in practice.

Eason returned to the field in relief of Fromm last Saturday during a blowout win over Tennessee, after missing the previous three weeks with an injury. Fromm has reeled off four straight wins and guided the Bulldogs to the No. 5 ranking in the country.

Eason was certainly the more coveted recruit, but it's hard to argue with Fromm's play in 2017. The freshman has thrown for eight touchdowns to just two interceptions on the season.
