The two schools will meet in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, a venue with a seating capacity of 71,000. While that sounds like a high number for a neutral-site contest, both the Crimson Tide and the Seminoles finished in the top 20 for average attendance last season.
Alabama averaged over 100,000 fans per home game in Tuscaloosa, while Florida State topped the 75,000 mark for the six games played in Tallahassee.
The two programs have only met three times in their storied history, with Alabama winning two and the other game finishing in a tie.
The Seminoles will be hoping to continue their strong showing against the SEC in the contest, as the ACC outfit has won six straight games against opponents from the powerful conference.
