Jim Harbaugh will reportedly bring back a familiar face from his Stanford days to Michigan, in the hiring of Cleveland Browns' assistant head coach Pep Hamilton, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The Wolverines' head man has apparently been telling recruits Hamilton will be part of Michigan's staff.

Hamilton coached wide receivers in 2010 at Stanford, the last season Harbaugh coached the Cardinal before being hired as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

After Harbaugh left for the NFL, Hamilton was promoted to offensive coordinator for two seasons, before holding the same position with the Indianapolis Colts from 2013-15.

Hamilton would replace Jedd Fisch, after he left to become the offensive coordinator at UCLA.

Fisch held the titles of passing game coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and receivers coach during his time at Michigan.

However, Browns head coach Hue Jackson denied any claims of Hamilton leaving.

"I feel very comfortable that Pep will stay (with the Browns)," Jackson said according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
