Carter Page, a former advisor to Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, found himself at the center of the Russia probe and had his reputation and career destroyed by what we now know were lies from our own intelligence system and the media.

On Thursday, Page filed a lawsuit in federal court against the Democratic National Committee for commissioning the discredited Steele dossier that was used by the FBI to surveil him during the 2016 election.

In this week's episode of "The Glenn Beck Podcast ," Page sat down with Glenn to talk about how he became the subject of illegal electronic surveillance for more than two years, and and how the mainstream media helped cover up the corruption that has infiltrated our legal systems.

"It's amazing the impact of the media because people can take little snippets of information and totally twist and spin it in a way which is completely false and an entirely different reality," Page said.

Page told Glenn that the biggest obsticle standing in the way of justice is the corrupt bureaucracy that attacked and smeared him in the first place.

"There is a serious cancer that our country is suffering from," Page said. "It started with this metastasizing of the Russia collusion hoax. To me ... that is the biggest problem and thing at the forefront of my mind. There are a lot of things that I'm starting to do to help find a cure, if you will, for both myself and for our entire country, and litigation is one of those things," he added.

"I'm very confident that my case is incredibly strong," said Page. "The thing which sometimes gives me a little bit of caution is, I know what's been done in federal courts by false filings, by U.S. Department of Justice and private institutions, the DNC, and media organizations, in terms of some of my initial battles.

"The reason for that caution is a key story-line in the inspector general report -- those 17 'errors and omissions.' I know my case. If we're basing things exactly upon the facts and what actually happened, I have the strongest case in the world. The challenge becomes when you have really dishonest people hiding in the murk of secrecy, spinning and playing games."
