After sharing his go-to books, movies, and TV shows of 2019, Barack Obama is back with his favorite music of the year. As with his other year-end lists, the former President of the United States has taken to social media to reveal the songs he’s been particularly into throughout 2019.
“From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year,” he tweeted. “If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”

To little surprise, Obama’s favorite music of 2019 consists of numerous hip-hop tracks, as he highlights DaBaby’s “Suge,” Young Thug’s “The London,” Lizzo’s “Juice,” J. Cole’s “Middle Child,” GoldLink’s “Joke Ting,” and Beyoncé’s “Mood 4 Eva,” just to name a few. He also shows love to the likes of Summer Walker, Solange, Rosalía, Frank Ocean, and Lil Nas X.
