Bugatti has unveiled two new special-edition Chirons: the Noire Sportive and Noire Élégance. Like the bespoke car Bugatti manufactured for $18.68 million earlier this year, both editions are inspired by the almost mythical Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic that’s been missing since WWII. Known as “La Voiture Noire,” the black car was one of only four produced. And if it were ever discovered, it would likely be the most valuable car in the world.
While both get a blacked-out treatment with exposed carbon fiber, the Noire Sportive is rendered in matte, and the Noire Élégance is glossy. Both also have black interiors, but the effect is even greater on the Sportive with switches, push-buttons and rotary knobs on the dashboard, steering wheel, centre console and door handles all rendered in matte black as well.
Only 20 models will be made, with pricing starting at $3.3 million. Going for the Sportive will add an additional $110,000.
