Netflix Shares Trailer for Ridley Scott’s New Murder Mystery ‘Earthquake Bird’
Ridley Scott serves as executive producer for Netflix‘s new mystery-thriller, Earthquake Bird. Today we get our first look at the upcoming film, starring Alicia Vikander and Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, and granddaughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
Vikander stars as Lucy Fly in Earthquake Bird, an ex-pat in 1989 Tokyo with a haunting past. While engaging in an intense relationship with a troubled local photographer, Lucy’s calm exterior begins to crumble as she simultaneously befriends a naive newcomer named Lily Bridges, played by Keough. Lily immerses herself into the lives of Lucy and her photographer boyfriend, before ultimately winding up missing and presumed dead.
Naoki Kobayashi, Kiki Sukezane, Yoshiko Sakuma, Kazuhiro Muroyama, Ken Yamamura, Crystal Kay, Akiko Iwase, and Jack Huston also feature in Earthquake Bird, which is written and directed by Wash Westmoreland, based on Susanna Jones’ novel of the same name. The movie releases in select theaters November 1, before coming to Netflix November 15.
