This looks dire AF!

Lifetime just dropped the trailer for its upcoming TV movie, Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother’s Fight to Save Her Daughter — which, as you might have guessed, explores the real life sex cult, NXIVM.

Based on the memoir Captive by Catherine Oxenberg — who rescued her daughter from the darkest aspects of the group — the small screen flick follows “a mother who will stop at nothing to get her daughter back and exposes the intricate seductive power of Allison [Mack] and Keith [Raniere] and the mental and physical abuse India fell victim to,” according to the network.

The chilling visuals tease unsettling portrayals of how women were groomed into sex slavery for NXIVM founder Keith Raniere, who is played by Peter Facinelli. Andrea Roth plays Oxenberg; Jasper Polish plays her daughter, India; and Sara Fletcher stars as Smallville actress Alison Mack, a particularly involved member of the group.

Ch-ch-check out the trailer (above) and catch Escaping the NXIVM Cult on Lifetime September 21 at 8 p.m. EST!
