73,000 people lost electricity for three hours in Manhattan last night, according to The Guardian. Theatergoers in Time Square spilled out onto the street mid-show when a 30-block area from Times Square to 72nd Street and Broadway was plunged into darkness. According to the Con Edison CEO, John McAvoy a problem at a substation caused the 6.47pm power failure.
