Kevin Abstract Talks New Brockhampton Music & Therapy With Shia LaBeouf in GQ Interview
BROCKHAMPTON frontman Kevin Abstract recently revealed the collective is currently working on new music in an interview for GQ. In conversation with playwright Jeremy O. Harris, the rapper opened up about his solo career, sexuality, and ambitions as well as BROCKHAMPTON‘s implication in the #MeToo movement.
The most surprising talking point was when Abstract discussed their group therapy sessions with Shia LaBeouf. Apparently, the energy maintained during these meetings is focused on support as opposed to shaming.
“I became friends with one of my idols and heroes recently, Shia LaBeouf,” he said. “Every Friday at my house, we do this thing called Friday therapy. I invite a bunch of artists from L.A., and we sit in my kitchen. It could be 40 people. One by one, we go in a circle and say what our week looked like. It’s taught me a lot.”
