Paris-based artist Dai Dai Tran has recreated a range of products from iconic luxury brands with US dollar bills. Sharing most of his work on his website, the artist has made a name for himself by transforming powerful and worldwide symbols into detailed pieces of art. Items created from USD include a jersey sporting Michael Jordan‘s number 23, a Nike Air Force 1, an Air Jordan 11, and an intricate spray can.
Tran also creates designs featuring famous logos within a single bank note. Furthermore, the artist branches out into original shapes as well, such as creative bust sculptures. Flick through the gallery above to see the unique renderings of Chanel, Hermès, and Nike logos, as well as a dissected dollar.
On this episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by A$AP Twelvyy, where talks about some of his upcoming musical projects and a few of the new influences he hopes to bring to the table, as well as his brand. Enjoy.
