Leaks suggest Kanye West and adidas Originals could be about to release their promised glow-in-the-dark YEEZY Boost 350 V2. In August 2018, West tweeted saying he “can’t wait for these glow in the dark 350s.” That tweet has since been deleted, but it looks like the YEEZY founder might be staying true to his tweet.
The Primeknit upper of the shoe in the images above and below has been treated with a glow-in-the-dark effect, giving the upper a slime green look in daylight and a glowing effect when the lights go out. As on other 350 V2s, the full-length Boost midsole is encased in a rubber outsole.
This wouldn’t be the first time glow-in-the-dark tech has been used on a pair of YEEZYs. In 2016, the YEEZY 750 “Grey/Gum” came with a gum outsole that glowed in the dark when exposed to light for an extended period of time.
Nothing official has been announced by either YEEZY or adidas Originals, but rumors suggest the sneaker could be coming soon.
