Almost one year after Avicii passed away, his family has announced the creation of the Tim Bergling Foundation.
The Tim Bergling Foundation, named after the Swedish DJ, will raise money and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Bergling took his own life on April 20 last year.
In a statement the Bergling family said, “Tim wanted to make a difference — starting a foundation in his name is our way to honor his memory and continue to act in his spirit.” The foundation also aims to tackle climate change, development assistance, nature conservation, and endangered species, and will operate in Sweden and overseas.
