Offset Says His Public Apology to Cardi B Was Meant to Show Vulnerability
Offset appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this morning for a special interview with the legendary talk show host. During their time together, the Migos member opened up about his public apology to Cardi B, his relationship with his father and a harrowing car accident.
“I love my wife so it’s serious, not a game to me,” Offset said in regards to his public apology to Cardi B, which was met with much criticism by fans. “We have schedules and we have shows and I just felt like, if I gave a break between time, I can’t give that break between time.”
“It’s just me being vulnerable, I guess, and it kinda bit me with the response of the people,” he added. “But that’s why our men don’t be trying to be vulnerable. Because when you do it, it’s like, ah, there’s something wrong with it either way.”
Ellen ultimately applauded Offset for his willingness to show vulnerability, and following, the Georgia rapper expressed his appreciation for Ellen by presenting her with an extremely thoughtful gift.
Elsewhere in the interview, Offset discussed how his estranged relationship with his dad affected his personal parenting style, while also diving into his near-fatal car accident.
