According to reports by Variety, Ariana Grande was offered a performance at the 61st annual awards, but will no longer be performing nor attending the Grammys due to disputes with producers. Although the pop star has been featured on billboards promoting the 2019 Grammys, she was apparently “insulted” after they initially refused to allow her to perform her latest single “7 rings.” A compromise was offered wherein Grande would perform the song as part of a melody but with producers choosing a second song. Grande reportedly declined.
The 2019 Grammy Awards are set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, February, airing at 5pm PST.
