Jordan Brand is seeing in Chinese New Year with a brand new Air Jordan 12, honoring the impending Year of the Pig with pigskin leather overlays and super luxe detailing. And, though the release has been scheduled to coincide with CNY on February 5, iterations that circulated to the lucky few in advance have surfaced at StockX, for your chance to cop your pair early.
Coming in a premium satin construction, the new AJ12 further celebrates Chinese New Year with a quilt-like multicolored lining that also translates on the Jumpman logo and Chinese characters of the left shoe’s tongue. Coming in a dual black and white colorway that mimicks Jordan’s “Playoffs” color scheme (last seen on 2016’s coveted “Wings” pair), metallic gold accents add to the luxurious finish of the kicks.
The kicks are undoubtedly one of the major highlights from this year’s CNY-specific releases also coming from Nike and adidas. As it stands, the lowest resell mark-ups on the first versions on StockX come at a not-so-unreasonable mark-up relative to the penned retail price of $250.
