Key Pieces: The entire collection is solid, but key pieces like the souvenir jackets, pull-over windbreakers and the camouflage-patterned long coat standout amongst the outerwear range. The vibrantly patterned shirts, a tonal black utility vest with buckles, along with the graphic printed tees are some of the other strong offerings.
Editor’s Notes: Japanese streetwear heavyweight NEIGHBORHOOD has unveiled its SS19 lookbook following its collaborative “SLUMBERS” capsule with fragment design.
Continuing with the brand’s signature ethos of streetwear infused with workwear, military sensibilities, counter-culture and outdoor themes, designer Shinsuke Takizawa has executed this season’s aesthetic in five distinct lines: “Protect and Survive” (modern/industrial appeal), “Harmanos” (homage to Latin culture), “Timber” (military aesthetics), “Specimen Research Laboratory” (inspired by urban gardening) and “Big City” (infusing urban/casual flair).
Encompassing a bevy of outerwear, patterned shirts, graphic tees, bottoms, accessories and more, NEIGHBORHOOD’s SS19 collection goes on sale this weekend in Japan.
