A-COLD-WALL*, Samuel Ross’s avant-garde streetwear label, looks to be continuing its relationship with Nike in 2019, with two new colorways of its Zoom Vomero +5 appearing on the ACW Instagram account over the weekend. With the two latest offerings we once again see ACW’s signature industrial workwear teamed with Nike’s athletic functionality.
The first colorway is rendered in muted, earthy tones. The technical Japanese Nylon upper features an iridescent, dark purple hue, unified by mauve and sand paneling. The mixed-material upper also appears to include A-COLD-WALL* branding on the toe.
The second colorway is rendered in a more vibrant, burnt red. The sneaker boasts a similarly mixed-material upper, this time in varying tones of red. Like the first colorway, the red variation features Swoosh branding on both the lateral and medial sides.
The two sneakers are shot in ACW’s signature futuristic and somewhat dystopian style, which has come to define its utility-wear aesthetic.
In 2017 A-COLD-WALL* released an Air Force 1, signaling the beginning of an innovative collaborative relationship. The most recent images confirm we will be seeing more aesthetically and technically ingenious kicks as the two labels continue to work together. Be sure to stay tuned for more information. We’ll keep you informed as details emerge about price and release dates.
