Report: Ramsey in talks with Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, PSG, Inter
It seems Europe's leading clubs are clamoring to secure the services of Aaron Ramsey.
The midfielder is entering the final six months of his contract at Arsenal, so he's able to speak to foreign clubs regarding a summer switch. He'll reportedly hold talks with Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Internazionale in January, according to BBC Sport's David Ornstein.
Ramsey was apparently in talks with Arsenal over a new four-year contract, but negotiations broke down in September for primarily "football and financial reasons," according to Ornstein. He may have been open to leaving the Gunners in January, but his current value to the squad is judged to outweigh the cut-price transfer fee he would demand in the final stages of his paperwork in north London.
The Welshman signed for Arsenal from Cardiff City for £4.8 million in 2008. He's won three FA Cups for the club and has scored 37 goals in 251 Premier League appearances. Though he's started only eight of Arsenal's 20 league matches in the 2018-19 term, he's logged a commendable tally of six assists.
There isn't expected to be much business at the Emirates Stadium in January, with the club making significant investments in contracts and new arrivals over the past 12 months and still pondering the hire of a new technical director. The only rumor with decent clout involves Barcelona's Denis Suarez, who could be drafted in on loan. The Independent's Ed Malyon reported in mid-December that the Spaniard could be available for a bargain £14 million.
Calum Chambers and Reiss Nelson are unlikely to be recalled from their season-long loans with Fulham and Hoffenheim, respectively, Ornstein reports. The former notion would incur a fee, while Nelson is rapidly progressing under Julian Nagelsmann's watch in Germany.
