H.E.R. Gets Vulnerable in Intimate Tiny Desk Set
After racking up five nominations for the 2019 Grammy Awards, breakout artist H.E.R. is maintaining the momentum with a mindblowing performance for NPR’s Tiny Desk series. The singer-songwriter previously made her debut on the series as a guest vocalist for Daniel Caesar when they sang “Best Part,” but it was only a matter of time before she was given the honor to do it on her own.
H.E.R. played four tracks off of her projects H.E.R. (“Focus”), I Used To Know Her: The Prelude (“Feel A Way”), and I Used To Know Her- Part 2 (“Going” (Interlude)” and “Hard Place”) with support from a three-piece band and background vocalists Ajanee Hambrick and Malik Spence. Watch the intimate set go down in the video below and revisit our exclusive interview with H.E.R. here.
In other news, SOSUPERSAM tapped Kilo Kish to direct her “Good For It” video. Peep it right here.
