London Rapper Osquello Gets Deep on Intense New Track “Finding Peace”
You wouldn’t guess that Osquello is merely 19-years-old. Not that the rising Londoner looks particularly young, but in just a handful of singles he has demonstrated a fiercely intelligent worldview and a depth of understanding to some seriously heavy issues that belies his young age. Case in point is his latest single “Finding Peace,” a track that directly deals with the darkness of grief and the ultimate power to transcend it. Take a listen below.
Speaking on the track, Osquello told Highsnobiety in an email that it “was a track where I found closure and acceptance in the parts of my life that disturbed me or made me feel shit about myself. There’s always something that has happened which makes us all feel worthless and not able to move on, but for me addressing it in this song is what brought me closure, peace and acceptance. It’s a journey where from the beginning of the track the emptiness and dark realizations are pointed out, but by the end the mood changes up to be a bit more rejoicing. I just wanted to show people my journey through the production as well as the lyrics and how we can overcome the shit that makes us feel we can’t go any longer.”
Look out for “Finding Peace” to appear on Osquello’s debut EP Good Morning Simulation.
