Brand: YSTRDY’S TMRRW x Northwave

Model: Cream

Key Features: The highlight of the Cream is undoubtedly its thick, bulbous midsole, which features a contrasting rubber outsole. The upper is constructed using suede, with tonal stitching to finish the look.

Release Date: November 10

Price: ¥19,000 (approximately $170)

Buy: COVERCHORD

Editor’s Notes: Italian snowboarding brand Northwave originally released the Cream sneaker during its ’90s heyday as an “after snow” shoe. Its bulky silhouette caught on, quickly becoming a go-to style on the streets of Tokyo during the ’90s sneaker boom and the Ura-Harajuku movement.

Now, with chunky sneakers and skateboarding silhouettes enjoying a resurgence, Japanese streetwear label YSTRDY’S TMRRW is bringing the bulky sneaker back to market in its original form. No doubt evoking a sense of nostalgia among Tokyo OGs, the Cream is also right on trend in the current footwear climate, making this the perfect time to bring it back.

The YSTRDY’S TMRRW x Northwave Cream drops on November 10 at Japanese retailer COVERCHORD in both black and white for an approximate price of $170.
