Lil Peep’s Mother Steps Behind the Camera for His “Runaway” Video
Next week, Lil Peep‘s posthumous album Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2 will finally be released into the universe. Peep’s mother, Liza Womack has been extremely involved in handling all of his affairs ever since he unexpectedly passed away last year. Today, Peep’s team shares an animated visual for “Runaway” which is co-directed by Womack and Steven Mertens.
The footage begins with a heartfelt dedication from Womack. “For my passionate, hard-working, and talented son, Gus,” she says. “And for his alter ego, Lil Peep.”
The New York Times recently revealed that Terrence Malick will be executive producing a documentary about the late rapper. The accompanying soundtrack will reportedly include some of his unreleased tracks. Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 2 comes out on November 9 via Autnmy/Access Records/Columbia Records.
