Thousands of gay men jailed for their sexuality in Germany are expected to get a piece of £27 million in compensation.

Since the end of World War II, more than 140,000 were arrested with 50,000 officially sentenced for being gay, according to Süddeutsche.
Many imprisoned had previously been thrown into Nazi concentration camps.
