Khan family rebukes Trump after he says he would have saved their son

In the midst of the second presidential debate, the moderators resurrected Donald Trump's months-long feud with the Gold Star Khan family.

Moderators specifically asked about Trump's remarks after the father spoke out against the Republican nominee at the Democratic National Convention, and how this affected Trump's much-touted "Muslim ban."

In his answer, Trump claimed that, if he were president, the Khan family would still have their son.

"Captain Khan is an American hero," Trump said. "If I were president at that time, he would be alive today. Because unlike her, who voted for the war without knowing what she was doing, I would not have had our people in Iraq. Iraq was a disaster. So, he would have been alive today."
