This toddler crying at 'The Snowman' understands your holiday blues

Learning that Santa Claus isn't real is a hard enough pill to swallow. Now, imagine having to come to terms with your own mortality while watching the 1982 short film The Snowman as a toddler.

Sarah McKoewn of Northern Ireland captured her son Lucca's reaction as the movie came to a close. As it turns out, its dark themes don't rest all that easy with children. Unlike in the whimsical holiday tale of Frosty, the snowman character in The Snowman just kind of bites the dust at the end. Merry Christmas?

Lucca is definitely not prepared to say goodbye to his snowman friend and spirals into a deep, dark sadness. Same, Lucca. Same.
